The AEM wasn't fitted properly either! It was stuck out of the engine bay!
I know I was there, to be honest I really dont think that this made this much difference to the filter, the fans were actually pointing downwards towards the bottom of the bumper area anyway, and the AEM filter normally sits there.

Even if it was fitted right I dont think the results for the AEM would have been any different.

The Mugen as far as I know did have the intake pipe connected on the front, it just didnt have a feed from a Mugen Grill ?? (sure ill get flamed if I was wrong)

I wont carry on with the argument / discussion as I have seen all I wanted to see and know for the Cost / Performance you wont beat a AEM CAI, will admit the Gruppe M is the best of the best but for the cost, the fitment issues are well totally crap (sort this out and I may get one) Yer I know you can mess about modding panels but I really dont see the reason to do this when you have just paid mega wonga for a filter.

 I wasn't there.... But i'll just add that when chatting with Andy from ITG he said similar to Tarticus.
The fans weren't actually pointing at the air feed on the aem so the graph should be a reasonable indication of it's performance on the dyno.
I'm sure there will be plenty more tests done when other rolling road meets take place. :)
Either way we seem to have choice of several decent air intakes... and the aem certainly looks like best for the money.

Yep you were wrong, it was fitted with the OEM pipe and not the Mugen intake pipe, which was as you know a different desgin.

To be honest on the day I thought the Gruppe M beat all of them with regards to power and also hade the least loss in vtec, yet on that graph it shows AEM, so I assue the AEM is the Gruppe M and the Gruppe M is the AEM results, is it not ?
