Had a few games on Fifa on the PS4 and XBone this week in Media Markt, and honestly, no difference in graphics. I'd be happy with either. Still prefer the XBone controller though.

Halo Waypoint wrote: Hey there Halo fans!

It’s been a long, crazy, exciting road, and we’re finally getting close to launch of Halo: The Master Chief Collection in November. I wanted to personally share some big status updates with you. Let’s start with the biggest:

Halo: The Master Chief Collection has gone GOLD!

This is a massive milestone for the team and also means that the game will be available for Pre-Order and Pre-Download later today. I couldn’t be more excited to start having fans grab this game online so everyone can hit the ground running on release day! The team has been working incredibly hard to make this happen, so we’re all eager for you to play this labor of love.

One of the questions we get asked most is about worldwide release plans. The reality of worldwide sales and retail processes always makes simultaneous launches challenging. Some fans expressed disappointment in our original planned release date of November 11 in North America and November 14 in several other territories around the world. We heard you loud and clear, and I am happy to announce that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be released on November 11 for the majority of our fans around world!

There are still a few countries that will see a slight delay due to public holidays. In Europe, Belgium will release on November 12 and France will release on November 14 as part of their typical Friday release schedule. Our fans in Japan will see a release of November 13. Given the social aspects of the experience, we were really happy to get it as close to a simultaneous worldwide release as possible so that we can all celebrate on November 11 and start playing together.

Just completed it. I would definitely recommend it, it's got a good long campaign so you'll get your money's worth out of it. It's not a scary game, but it builds tension very well. Make sure you set it to Hard to get the proper experience, I've seen people playing it on Normal difficulty and the alien is dumbed down far too much.

7.5/10

Anyone else getting Sunset Overdrive? I think it looks good, just something a bit of a laugh and a bit different.

I was debating it. I don't think I will at full retail but perhaps when it's on offer. FC4 & GTA for me :-) Then theres Saints Row 4, Grave, State of Decay & The Division too. Too many good games!

My brother buys his games digitally from the US store for £40 and because our Xboxs are linked via the Xbox Home Sharing thing I get access to any games he buys digitally and vice versa, so we just split it 50/50 if it's a game we were both going to get anyway.

Just read this on a page regarding The Division, but it stands for all current games and the future of gaming. I liked it, so I repeat it here.
he mediocrity of Ubisoft games lately is a direct result of greed and incompetence of people at the top trying to manipulate it in such a way that they could get more for less. This is a common trend that we have been seeing for the last two years in video game releases. Developers are no longer building games that intrigue us because they match the complexity of our human intellect instead through a combination of greed and cunning, the developers and publishers are learning to prey on our worst traits, to appeal to our obsessive need for self-validation and to stoke our ego, to make money off of convincing us that we are special at a game that we don't realize everyone else is just as good at too. They know that we won't recognize that when everyone is special, nobody is. They know that we are gullible and that hype is contagious. If they spend enough money telling us a game is good we will believe it. They have learnt to exploit the purest form of human intellect - our hope, our hope that this next game is the one we have been waiting for.

People might accuse me of taking video games too seriously, but i would say that they don't take it seriously enough. Gaming, the evolution of this industry, the collective education of we, the gamers, is more important to me than anything other than politics itself. Games are the pinnacle of human creativity, the limitless finale of art, drawing from sound, sight, critical thought, and the immersion of the mind. Gaming itself is threatened by this dastardly trend towards appealing to the lowest common denominator, perpetrated by Ubisoft and Activision wholly, yet adopted gradually by everyone else. It is an infection that is spreading rapidly and destroying everything it touches. It is going to make "THE DIVISION" it's latest casualty. And it is not the first time that clever greed and cunning have done this, cable news has been on a similar path to exploiting our weakest traits. This is afterall, a monument to our collective sin.

We must take a stand here and now, that for generations from now, that our grandchildren and our grandchildren's grandchildren will recognize that we, the original gaming generation took a stand here and now. That we drew a line in the sand, and said this far, and no further, that we rejected incompetence, that we rejected greed, that we rejected mediocrity. We have to hit them at the only place they will notice, which is through our wallets. Do it now and do it hard, don't pre-order games or buy them based on hype or promises".

I see.
My brother and I wondered about doing similar. I was going to set each others box as home but then I wouldn't be able to share my games with Gem although I could share her Live and games. In the end we didn't; I was looking forward to the original sharing proposal from MS :-(
