The design of Type R models was originally focused on race conditions, with an emphasis on minimizing weight, and maximizing performance potential (e.g. engine tuning, suspension set-up). Thus, Type R models were first conceived for racetracks. However, due to Honda's increased focus on their highly regarded VTEC engines, the Type R was eventually designed for a much wider market.
Basically when Honda wanted more pennies from a main stream audience, they changed the goal posts on what would be released in a Type R variant.

It's only got worse and worse with each model through the years, and the FN2 is the pinnacle of how worthless the Type R badge has really become.

I'm going to go with a classic variant on the much repeated argument:

FN2's are gay. :ymca:

True Type R's are made in Japan and then imported to the UK :salut:

None of this made in the UK nonsense, and especially none of this made in the UK, shipped to Japan and then imported back crap either :bad-words:

Pretty sure it was the fn2 that has rusting issues tbh.
Your Ep3 looks like postman pats little red van
Probably, but at least it doesnt look like the guy who designed it was tripping on acid while watching a horror movie when he drew the first sketch.

car design has moved on since the Ep3 dated bread van,the fn2 is just as fast and if you wrap it you probably will have a better change of surviving. All the same thrills wraped in a much better package
