 No too bad compared to the 200k for one of the Beemers!
Do you know if Paul O'Neil has a race seat for next season yet?

He has not signed for anyone yet. Neither has Onslow Cole who is in negotiations with 3 teams.

The rumour currently going around is that Techspeed are looking to purchase a single Civic from TD.

Ahhh right.... would I be right in thinking that there are two 'spare' civics around? The ones raced before Honda became a bigger part of the team (one of the ones Pinkney or Herbert drove).
We both hope he does get a drive, he showed what he is made of last year getting the Teg up there and really fighting!

They have 4 chassis built iirc, 2 older type and 2 upto date along with a huge spare package.

The price on the track is approx £250K per vehicle. To be honest I think if techspeed can't raise the money Paul could struggle simply because he would need sponsorship to buy a drive.

A BTCC without Owy though is simply unthinkable.

Thruxton. If I'm being honest, Brands is sh*te due to the fact you can't get close to the paddock unless you have friends in high places or balls of steel to talk your way past security.

Donnington & Silverstone are also very good for getting close to the action.

Or Croft or Oulton but that's a bit far for you. Don't bother with Rockingham. You may aswell watch it on the tv.

Oulton is too fragmented in terms of getting around the site imo. Although the Oulton grass verges have superb viewing.

Last I heard tech speed will not be entering a new car but I could be wrong! They are just round the corner from me and a guy that works there drinks in my local! There goes my free tickets for next season!

I know the owner of Sunshine.co.uk is going looking at touring cars today. Read into that what you will.

A championship without Paul O'Neill though is a huge loss and at this point completely unthinkable.

Went to Silverstone last year with my brother and really enjoyed it (except for the weather, that is). Like you say its great for meeting the racers and you can walk around the paddock with all the Clio cup and Formula Renault teams. You can talk to the drivers as they come off the podium if you wish which I thought was pretty cool for such a corporate event.

Is the Donnington circuit still ripped up? Regardless of BTCC, its just a shame to see such a great racetrack going to waste due to political/financial reasons. It will be a real shame if they don't get it sorted soon as its the closest track to me and I've been there more times than I can remember. I was hoping a trackday in the CTR would be on the cards this year but probably highly unlikely given the circumstances.

Donny will still be there and apparently they have resurfaced some of it.
