To be honest the Sunday isn't the best day to go. After a weekend partying most folk tend to pack up earlyish and head home.

There's still stand space but it seems a waste of £25 (entrance ticket with car) to arrive to a half empty car show, although you can pay £10 to just come in as a pedestrian.

I'd suggest arriving Sat after work and camping for the night, that way you'll see all the car clubs at their best and can join in the partying, oh and you get fireworks on Sat night.
I guess it depends how late you work but you can buy a ticket at the gate till pretty late.

Kids are allowed at JAE but I should warn you the evenings are geared more towards adults, usually partying, drunken adults!

There's stuff for kids during the day, a rollercoaster, playpark etc but I'm not sure that nightime is the best environment for kids. I guess it depends how old they are and whether they can sleep through blaring sound systems.

Any JAE regulars with kids want to comment??

His Mrs comes along too. I think they share the duties.

I normally can't see by 9pm however so don't take is as gospel.

Alia brought his mrs with him and she went to bed with the little one. The reason you can't remember dotty, is because you brought the only keys to the army base and had to go back to let the soldiers in. Massive fail. Don't do it again!
