Mitchell Road, Corby, Northamptonshire, NN17 5AF

So the meeting/ convoy point for the southwest is going to be:

Michaelwood Service Area M5 Northbound (Car park)

AA route planner is saying it will take around 2Hr's 20Mins.

Other convoy's seem to be aiming to arrive at Rockingham for 8:00 - 8:15 ish, so if we try to do the same.

Meeting at 5:30 Leaving around 5:50

Please PM me for my phone number so we can get in touch if you encounter any problems.

god i'm going to have to get up early

Hi Mat,
Yeah this is the service station. But be careful using the Postcode. I'm 99% sure the postcode even though its on the service station website the postcode is for the road behind the services which you can not gain access to the services from this road. As you drive up the M5 its after the Thornbury/ Dursley junction.

Looks like 3 from here so far with other people going from Wales so looks like we could have a good convoy from here.

Cut, Paste and add your name to the list if your looking at meeting at thisCconvoy point so we can get an idea of how many will be turning up.

Ive added your names to the last Mat and Nick just to get the ball rolling if you could just confirm your up for this meeting point that would be great. Not long until the Sun (fingers crossed) and BBQ

Southwest Meeting Point List

2. Mat (confirmed)

leaving all my cleaning 'til saturday this time (rather than the whole week i spent last time!) but hopefully it should scrub up alright!

i just hope it doesn't rain!

Thinking the same about the rain..... Maybe clean it and cover the car in tin foil so it doesnt get dirty  Im also going to clean it saturday. May take the wash mit up with me and a bottle or two of water to get all the bugs off from the trip up. Damn sounds like im getting a little OCD

According to most weather sites there is no, or very little rain predicted for most of this week in my area and NN17 5AF area.

I'm going to clean mine tonight, and hope for the best. I don't need to be too OCD mine is satin so looks clean even when it isn't :-D

Although since the hose pipe ban in my area, after using a wash mitt and bucket to wash my car the other day, the morning after one of my headlights has misted up inside and won't go away now...been mist free for 4 months and comes back the week of Japfest :bad-words:

Leave the light on for 30 mins or get a hair dryer then a tube of bathroom silicon, cover the top part of the light and presto no more water droplets in the lights. I had to do this on my last civic worked very well.

It wasnt suppose to rain here today but its been pouring down nearly all day

Going to try that when I get home. Had to use hairdryer method first time but tried it again other day and it came back just as bad the day later. Annoying. Haven't tried bathroom silicon seal though, cheers.

cleaning mine again on saturday afternoon..

having a white car especially with white wheels - nightmare - when i drive up i will try not to use my brakes at all - that should help keep them clean :-) and dodge all the flies :-)

will bring some quick detailer and microfibers - wouldn't go anywhere without em.

I will be getting up around the time you guys are leaving

On the car cleaning front I'm spending pretty much all day saturday cleaning (weather permitting) aint going bother cleaning it on the stand
#2649868
I dont really want to be cleaning it on the stand but from the long trip up it may need a quick 'dip with the mit'.

the cruise control will be set, coffee in hand and the laser star watching out for any speed traps
