got pulled lastnight for doing 52mph in a 30zone duel carrigeway :bad-words: . got me with the laser gun but didn't see them so they must of been hiding well. been driving for 5+ years no points n never been in trouble with police. they said i will have to go to court, any ideas on what i will get?

3 points - £60 fine. Perhaps a little more in the fine dept, but the points will probably remain at 3. Not the end of the world.

The 6 points (30 limit) referred to in that chart, would be if the motorist was charged with careless driving, not merely speeding.

If the copper told you to expect a disqualification, he was quite clearly on some kind on non-prescription drug.

I would prepare myself for between 3 and 6 points as a worst case scenario, but in reality hope for a likely 3 with a bigger fine. I doubt you would get much more. All depends on the court of course, as no-one really knows at the end of the day. Some courts totally shaft motorists, others dont - and then its down to the JP / Sheriff / Magistrate and whether they got there hole that morning.

That's the way it is. I literally launched my GSXR off a hump back bridge years ago and in the layby on the other side was a cop telling off a boy racer for speeding. The boy racer pointed at me and the cop just shrugged and went back to writing in his book. For the record, I wasn't actually speeding either, I'd slowed right down and was accelerating to get the front airborne
