You will hve to either buy a bung (around £55) and fit it (if you have a rolled lip on your exhaust you will have to drill a hole through both exhaust and bung and bolt it, Castle Coombe dont have a drill) or yes miss out.... i had to do a back box swap in 6 mins not to miss my window on the track...just made it!

Hey man,

Not sure if I should be directly comparing your test results to the OP's figures, but what I would like to know is - will the exact setup you mentioned above be any/much louder than the std-std-std setup? You think the lady will notice that I've changed it?

Std, Spoon, Spoon, 104
I'd just like to add: although there is only a 2db difference, adding a Spoon b pipe to a Spoon backbox makes a massive difference to the noise for normal driving (lower revs) even though the maximum noise isn't much different.

Hope that makes sense.

Yes it's a much deeper note even with standard backbox, it's noticable at low RPM's let alone VTEC

But then seeing as 10DB is twice the volume (ie 100 db would seem twice as loud as 90 db) 2 db is a fairly large volume jump.

no cat so it shouldn't...

but...

i have heard folks on here saying that they have passed mot with no cat, but its rare and might not be true.

or,

maybe if you know an mot tester that needs an extra 20 quid in their back pocket it might pass??

mat.

Do you have a decat Mani too? If yes, I don't think you have a hope in hell of passing. My prospec+mani sound awesome, just very sure it's over 105db.

Interested if they have a db meter.
