Yeah, I had a NHB that had really poor finish on the front bumper. Thought it was a horrendous patch of stone chipping until I looked properly and it wash fish eyed...not sure if it was due to the factory or a naff repair prior to ownership :bad-words:

I have voted yes. My 04 milano plastic parts are alot darker then the metal bodywork. I have got to take it to Honda this Tuesday for them to decide if it's a Honda fault and if it is they will respray it. I have had other sprayshops look at it and they have said it's really thin paint and that it ain't ever been respayed so it's a fault from Honda. Fingers crossed they will respray it. I'll let you know how I get on.....

I voted yes, all the metal panels have fadedpink on my 04 milano red :bad-words: what can i do ? Bonnet was the worst hence a carbon one fitted, would the dealer respray the whole car ? i dont think they would. £1,500 respray next spring, unless anyone on hear knows otherwise.

ive got a 53 plate facelift so i suppose its close enough to 04 and mine faded terribly on the roof, bonnet and tailgate, the plastics were different colours it looked crap so ive just had a full respray including tinted lacquer it now looks brand new, the paint from the factory was shocking

paintwork seems not too bad, but i own a nhb and the paint is very soft... soon get lots of swirl marks and minor scratches.... and i use special cloths to wash and pollish it with, its only 25k, so it aint seen much wear and tear...

Yep, my 04 Milano Red EP3 is definately faded on the metal compared to the plastic. I have spoken to Honda Customer care and they have came back and said it's not a problem or that red paint does fade more than others.

Yet i spoke to a salesman yesterady and mentioned this fact and he said that honda changed the painting process to correct this. His friend had a 04 Milano EP3 and noticed the same issue. Don't know if CS would take this further as the '04 cars are now well outside there 3 year paint warrenty.

Has anyone complained to Honda UK about this and gotten anywhere ?

Maybe if we all signed a pertition raised a case with Honda CS and all contacted them quoting the same ref number they may do something about this.
