so my heat shield bracket thing has snapped, i believe this was already a replacement for the original black one that broke but not sure? it is still being held on by one bolt thingy at the bottom the other side, is this alone going be enough? what happens if it comes lose and then this thing is loose around my engine? also if I take the heat shield off completely will the tegiwa carbon box catch fire?
ive noticed since this thing snapped, my car doesnt rattle anymore at around 4k rpm around the scuttle panel induction area so i dont even want to add it again. does the heat shield even stop much eat getting to it or would it be like no probs without it?

inb4 racecar, check the oil, keep up with ep3 up to 120mph then pull away

Bin the heat shield.

Not worth the hassle. I've literally noticed no difference getting rid of mine.

It is a heat shield but its a kinda half arsed job at one. There is so much heat in the bay one flimsy bit of alloy isn't going to make any difference.

A lot of the proper heat shields extend almost to the bonnet and then have a rubber seal to try and create a cooler cavity.

As said above bin the heat shield as it's not needed, they usually end up rubbing against the carbon and make a right mess
