passers by came and helped the cop but the cop said if it wasnt for the public he would've been in big trouble
the copper was a big fooker aswell, the drunk must of had a base in something. just goes to show how much a little training can do.
im sure some forces do, but the ones i know personally as mates, unless they train BJJ/JJ etc then they dont tend to bother - ok Herts isnt exactly crime capital (though im sure alot of sh-t goes on), but the ones i know would rather just go home and eat/sleep than train or go to gym and build physical muscle.
Thats also the trouble, you dont know what the other person has done in the past or what theyve watched - i took a mate no-gi once and thought id toy with him a bit - he ended up sweeping me and laid and prayed (he was heavier and i didnt know the counter)
Itll be interesting watching next weeks coppers with their basic training though. Also did you see i think it was the bbc1 coppers programme of the dude trying to take out 4 in Luton? With a bit of knowledge, hed have been able to 'dispatch' all 4 (they werent attacking as a gang or being violent towards him as such)
