The megane sport hasn't I'm my opinion got a huge amount of character. But, the time the 265 version done at the Ring is unbelievable for a FWD car. In fact some of the cars it's time has beaten is amazing.

I find it amazing that it was 9 seconds quicker than the old FWD record holder R26.R when you think that the R26.R has R888's and the Trophy has RE050's.
Depreciation is very off putting.

Depreciation on them is great, just buy one that's 2 years old and let some other mug take the big hit. Same with all new cars really.

I swear I will not be the guy that starts a thread on any of the following:

a) Steering feel

b) In gear 30-70 times

c) Remaps

They are very nice. Tried one a few months back, as well as the Clio Cup, and what you read about them is true. If only they were built well enough not to leave nagging doubts, I might have been tempted. In terms of suspension and steering, they really are remarkably similar in feel to the Evo. But worries over Renault's reputation were strong enough, as well as the lack of AWD, to swing the bias to Mitsubishi. No regrets at all though.
