Dont know about you but i haven't done many 0-60mph races and for 4.6 secs an evo needs to be launched the lads i know with them are scared of launching them proper due to clutches so with a time of 5secs flat the MPS wouldn't really look to much out of place

my wrx was 310bhp. End. An mps had a 0-60time of 6.5 to take 1.5 seconds off that time would be some going by a map! Your prob talking more like 0.2 off if your lucky. And I don't know what evos u been watching but I've seen plenty full bore starts. Again don't talk wet. And stop showing off.

heavey, dont handle well, poor mpg was geting 17-19 around town 24 on a run, poor spec even the st3 is basic

6.5sec to 60? i think you need to go and watch/read a few reviews of them and look at the times actually recorded were anything from 5.4 to 6.1

you best ask http://www.fastestlaps.com/cars/mazda_3_mps.html to make some changes as there basing there figures off what they have seen to and not what your saying

I didn't say no evo's got launched i said the people who i know with them are very reluctant to do it as after a few attempts the clutch doesn't like it

Nice one with your WRX but ive seen off 3 STI's now quite easily so i doubt you would beat a modded mps as easy as you make out :salut:

Chill winston. Shall we agree to disagree? Might swoop the ctr for a mps, worth it in your opinion? How much you spent on mods? Bhp?

As an overall car yes i prefer it, there were two advantages the CTR had over the MPS one was the gearbox and two was the sound !

The handling is excellent you will read alot of shitty reviews in the uk for some reason, yet the rest of the worlds reviews dont seem to agree, id say just go and drive one for yourself, mines the aero one so comes with the Eibach suspension upgrade over the standard ones

Ive only got a tuning box, short ram intake and changed the turbo inlet pipe on mine, cost me £400 in total and for that i was able to - remove boost limit in 1st and 2nd, raise rev limiter, gain 20-30 bhp preak power and 60-70bhp @ 5500rpm + remove 155mph top speed limiter, whatever the haters or doubters say when you have a hothatch with so little spent on it and you can see the likes of STI's off in a line then thats pretty impressive to me

Future mods would be lose the TMIC and replace with FMIC, change the fuel pump, remove the CAT's and see around 330bhp

I stand by what i say when i said you cant find a newer, better spec, quicker, cheaper hot hatch imo

They are dirt cheap for an 07+ and I got an insurance quote for £700 which is pretty good.

Thats pretty poor power wise for the engine size, im a few CC down and would see 370bhp from those mods.
