As you can see its not steep at all, it catches where the block pavers meet the tarmac path.

change the b-pipe mate, it's silly going to all the expense of changing the springs and redoing the frsu just for a curb like that. That b-pipe has a funny angle from where it joins the cat....have you still got the oem b-pipe and backbox..? Put those on for the time being and then sell your catback and then buy something else. :salut:

My dc sports manifold sits that high up it nearly touches the heatsheild in the exhaust tunnel, could you not just get a decat on the oem manifold and that would mean you could swap it for mot time. I think it must be how the b pipe mates onto the cat thats causing it to hang so low :thumbup:

Still got the oem back box, my b-pipe wasn't in the best of conditions so I got rid of it. The bloke at the exhaust place said it was the angle where it meets the cat thats causing me problems and he said he could re design it for £150 so it seems the better option. I dont really want to sell this to get something else as theres no other catback I fancy apart from the Legalis R (top dollar) I've either got to change the pipe or I may consider swapping this DC system for oem + a bit of cash. Do you think my DC would still sound the same with a smaller diammeter pipe and the angles changed?

I may take you up on that if it comes to it, im going to ring first thing tommorrow to get it booked in if they can keep it sounding the same as it is now. Do you think I should go for a slightly narrower pipe this time or keep it the same size but different angle?

I don't know what you have at the moment, but don't go narrower than the spoon/supersprint for definite...

Think the spoon is somewhere between 2 1/4 and 2 1/2 inch.

Spoon is an exact rep OEM with a bigger bore, but DC sports is a totaly different design

My Mum made me laugh the other day I rang her and told her about the springs and that I cant get up the drive.
She laughed, said I wasted my money and then offered to come to Worcester with the Discovery and trailer to get me around Worcester!

Car looks great by the way!! Keep the springs, you know it makes sense. I've got the same springs and my drive way has an angle to get on it. With 2 kids and pram I have no scraping at all. I'm currently running the oem system. You could put the oem backbox on and change the mid pipe for an unsilenced one. I thought about getting a dc sports, but after seeing the way it sits I might have to re consider.

as for the b.pipe hanging low it's just one of those things, my dc system hung low when i had one on my car!

i scraped it loads of times yet when i took it of it looked fine apart from a few scrapes!

can you not get some wooden blocks to drive up onto your drive with to gain a few mm clearence!

i wouldn't go back to an oem b.pipe after having a 2.5" dc system on, the standard b.pipe is kinda restrictive!

the dc system looks awesome on ep3's!

Yes they are the ABP Eibach springs.
I know what your saying about the exhaust, Im going to keep the DC and get another b-pipe made up which doesn't dip down near the cat - so long as they can keep the system sounding the same I will be happy!
