has anyone ever heard the car without a backbox? a clip maybe?

Toda did get me black flagged at Donny though last year and I think they were running a 98db day. They didnt do a static test so it was on a drive-by on one of their many stations that your likely to be on full power.

This was also running with a GruppeM, cams and nitrous so may be quite a bit higher than a normal NA setup.
Saying that, I think Jason AKA Nosman got black flagged as well and he was totally standard!

what is the point of the track day if your goin to get black flaged with a standerd car???
i thought track days was a place you can go to drive your modded car the way carnt drive it on public roads.??

how do these 700bhp skylines get to go on a track then.???

I went for a noise test today at Oulton just to be on the safe side.

jrsc, Toda Mani, Greddy 70mm pipe, ARC airbox only made 97db @ 6000rpm on the static test!

Well happy with that :WOOT

There is a thread started up about in-car cameras. Turns out they need to be clamped/bolted to the car somehow. Mounts can cost £50+ to £200.. then can just use any video camera if you have one.


Anyone know where I can get a noise test done in the south?

Will be popping up to TDI-north april/may time I hope though.

I recently did an afternoon track session at Goodwood Circuit, Piper Mani and Sports Cat with Mugen Cat-back = 90db
Cant remember at what revs :scratch:

tested my Full piper system inc decat today with a maplins meter and got 103.9db at 3.5k rpm i know this prob wont help but my launch control was turned on so couldnt rev higher

would i get away with this at a 105db limit track day?

thought i would give an update to the above, i had my car tested at Brands Hatch today (now has a JRSC aswell) and at 6krpm they got 103.5db
