Saunders was due to fight on the card anyway but against Jake Ellenberger but when he heard about Alves he asked to step in to fight Fitch

I got the impression he could of had plenty more finishing opportunities but his corner decided to keep the fight too technical and planned on that kind of a finish.

good night of ufc i thought... couple of nasty submissions, that leg lock from that brazzilian dude looked bad, think it was a prelim fight.

I thought hardy did really well to survive tbh, if he'd spent less time staring angrily at gsp when he stood up and more time hitting him he might have done a little better most people would have crumbled under that kind of pressure. He'll be back for another shot.

I enjoyed carwin destroying mir though... i dont like that guy one bit

it was Palhares that wouldnt release the heel hook and for his trouble he has been suspended for 90 days by the athletic commission. no place for that shit in my opinion, should have lost some of his pay cheque as well

if anyone watched the 3 prime time shows it had Hardy spending a bit time with Serra and could be seen practising getting out of arm bars. he did it exactly the same in the fight to escape it

Hardy could have let his hands go a lot more thought he did well to hold on but on the other hand GSP is starting to bore me. he has the skills but is turning into a blanket
