these guys are down the road from me.. they just deal in this class of car and really shift stock in a matter of days.. I didn't buy from them at the beginning of last year in the end but they were really helpful and called me when a car came in (I bought one somewhere else in the meantime)

I found back then that they were a bit on the high price side and never got the chance to haggle so don't know if they will shift..

However they do have a good rep so they are no Del Boys...

Glasses guide:

Vehicle summary
Honda Civic Type R
2.0 Petrol 3-door Hatchback
6 Speed Manual Front Wheel Drive
Year: 2005 54
Mileage: 65,000

Estimated value of your car
Part-exchange Price:
Excellent condition:
£6910
Average condition:

The trend I have noticed, every one here thinks they can get them mega cheap and every one sells them thinks they are worth way more than they are.

To expensive and the paint has started to pink. If you check some of the pictures, like the one of the roof and the spoiler, you can see the difference. If you were under a sodium light, say at a petrol station, the body would look pinky/orange while the bumpers etc would look the correct shade of red.

The reason i know this is because i made that mistake when i bought mine. Looked just as a good as the one you are thinking of, but after a few days of owning it, i started to see the fade. In the end i got all the metal parts of the body resprayed. I would keep looking mate, or get a black one.

To be fair they are part exchange prices for your car (not buying from dealer prices), the dealer will be looking to make money on those prices, especially if it's coming with fresh tax, mot and possibly 3 month warranty. As previously said though, 8250 is a tad too much!

You seem to be agreeing with me and then not :)

Isnt a grand markup pretty typical? Based on glasses it seems like a fair enough price assuming "Excellent Condition", but I personally wouldnt pay it.

the guy above talking about paint fade sounds like he was bitten and would be good to listen to, so based on that is "Average condition:" better? In which case, very over priced

cheers guys

i LOVE LOVE LOVE the milano red CTR's but the "pink fade" is what i am scared of most :(

i may look for a cosmic or a satin, at least that way it shouldnt fade etc

and NHB will be too hard for me to keep clean lol

however, most the premiers seem to be in black

This is where I brought my type r from last year. I do think there a little on the expensive side but they have always near mint cars and have a gd reputation. They deal in a lot of type r ep3s. Plus realy friendly guys down there

I brought my car from them three years ago. The cars they source are generally excellent. My car was a gem but my only word of warning is validate their advert descriptions. They described my car as being a one lady owner from new and it was actually two. They also said they had two keys and once I'd paid the money, I got a load of bull that they couldn't find the spare key and fob. They are minor things but still soured the experience. Can't fault the car though

Speaking to other people that have purchased from them, they admitted to swapping interiors round in cars. It's not horrendous but still not right.

Did yoy not read my post above? The one you are looking at has started to fade. Its just had some clever pics taken of it nice and clean. Plus milano red looks a different shade in different lights.

You can tell on the pic of the roof and the spoiler. Like i said, mine had faded a bit, but didnt notice it until a few days of owning it. Plus you just said that the other milano pictured in this thread looks dull so.......

My paint on my Milano was slightly dull on that picture due to poor lighting conditions and crappy image compression (thanks facebook). The paint itself is not fading at all. Heres a close up of the same "photoshoot"

Image

I've recently re-clayed, polished and wax the car with Autosmart stuff and it looks absolutely stunning! The paint is extremely vibrant and looks immaculate (even though close up it isn't)

It gets A LOT of looks due to how clean it is
