As you may have seen in my thread in members gallery, i fancied a change of colour....
This is how we did it

Image

Firstly, obviously, wash & dry the car,
then brought it inside for a more detailed clean, especially in the nooks & crannys......

Image

Image

Decided to start at the front, firstly as bonnets are easy peasy, and secondly so we could do the front and see if we liked it....

Image

Bonnet & wing done chris & i do the front bumper, always quicker with 2.

Image

Bumper done, chris starts on side 1.

Image

and i start on the splitter (you'll noticed the sides missing in this pic, even us pro's make mistakes!)

Image

Side back on, full steam ahead!!

Image

Side well under way, Splitter Complete.

Image

Side complete, just the skirt to do, but we'll leave that until later!

Image

Turn around, side 2 & arse end.

Image

Big bloody sticker, side 2 going on

Image

Set on the car, where to begin?!!

Image

The 2 of us get stuck into side 2, it was getting late and we were getting fed up at this point so speed was of the essense!

Image

Starting to take shape.

Image

Side complete, that'll do for day one! (well half a day, lol)

Image

Day 2, finish round the door seeing as we couldnt even finish that last night

Image

Side done, just the rear bumper & both skirts to do.....

Image

Skirt done, looking a little more white now.

Image

Car moved over, so we could do the other skirt & have abit more working room for the rear.
Also a little more cleaning just to be sure!

Image

Rear bumper almost there....

Image

Final touches! Woop woop.

Image

Done!!!!!!!!

Easy peasy! Just time consuming - Approx time start to finish - 11.5 hours!

looks good, and why not. Have you done the door shuts and boot shut, the top of the grill etc..??..what would it cost a customer for you to apply it to their car..??

Also any reason you left the bootlid?

Looks cool but surely it looks like a sticker. Also will bits start peeling off?

can you wash it normally etc?
All good questions I was wondering myself................

I didnt do the boot as i didnt want to remove the badges, they've never been off the car and i dont intend on doing so, especially as the rate at which i get bored of things it will probably be off next month.

Yea basically it is just a big sticker, heated & moulded to the cars contours e.t.c.
Bits wont start peeling off until i want them too, as long as the edges are sealed nothing will peel.

Ive just done enough of the door shuts so the original colour is not visible from outside, this is the way all wraps are done.
Ive seen partical wraps, on an M3 CSL for example rumoured to be costing in the region of £1800.... i however dont wear a mask! :badrazz:

thanks for the interest!

miss the roof as well..........

Due to the roof rails?

Good idea and cheap way of lessening damage to paintwork from sun/chips etc..........or maybe the Milano boys like it when they turn into Superbully's Trousers........

no the roof is one of the easiest bits to do, just decided a contrast would of been better than totally white.
Contemplating doing the boot now.

Id always like to cover my roof with carbon fibre (the 3M stuff) apparently itd be a proper tw*t to do due to the way the roof curves. :bad-words:

EDIT: or not apparently
