Just got the car back from Milltek Sports and i've had a nightmare journey back - 1 hour journey took more than 3 hours!!!!

Initial reports on the system are:

Resonated version is for those of you who want a sports system primarily for the looks and performance gain :-D

Non-resonated version is for the guys who want to hear the system coupled with the above benefits, nice sound at idle and tuned sports note at high rpm but not loud or droney  .

System looks completely different with visible round tailpipes and in my opinion looks far more aggressive.

Will get the car re-dyno'd next week for a back to back test against standard system.

Now the bad news - I finish today for a richly deserved weeks holiday so no pictures, prices or power figures until i get back on the 30th. I will however get the car on the dyno during my week off and if i can get to a computer i'll post the power figures. You never know, i might even get a few tempting pictures posted if I pop in to work next week???? See, im as excited as all you guys are :-D :WOOT

Watch this space

Just to keep you guys on the boil and as a teaser during my week off

Car re-dyno'd this morning following it's Milltek Sport cat back exhaust fitment so here are the revised figures:

219.5 BHP @ 7596rpm :-D
&
159.8 lb/ft @ 6100rpm :-D

Car now has ABP Milltek Sport cat-back system and being run on standard 95 RON fuel.
DYNAPACK dyno @ WGT in Middlewich, Cheshire.
16 deg C

A good start guys +6.8bhp power gain along with torque increase of +7.3 lb/ft :-D

Pictures of exhaust next week when I get back from my week off

Thought the headlights were w**k so as we're a PIAA dealer we fitted uprated Xtreme White Plus headlight bulbs (H7 dip, H1 main) along with bright white LED sidelight bulbs. Not only do these look a million times better but driving down some un-lit lanes over the last few nights they are a massive improvement over the standard poxey Honda bulbs. HID looks & performance without the HID price or legality issues - Happy days (or nights)
PIAA Xtreme White Plus bulb kit (2 x H7, 2 x H1, 2 x LED sidelight bulbs) £116.00 inc vat
have to say very good service - just bought these bulbs above - got them next day - just ahve to wait until saturday to install them!!
You won't be dissapointed!!!

Do one side 1st then look at the difference side to side - You'll be pleasantly suprised

We wanted to offer something different on the FN2 and Milltek were very enthusiastic to help us out. We have been selling Milltek for sometime now on the VW/AUDI ranges but we will have the exclusive supply of the FN2 system in the UK.

Have lived with the new system for over a week now and must say it completely changes the character of the car, it has a purposefull 'burble' at idle and sounds quite deep through the rev-range but is only marginally louder than the original system at constant cruising speeds (70, 80 & 90mph). The system i've been using is the non-resonated system with no centre silencer as i found the silenced system just TOO QUIET  !

Will be posting some pictures later today

Will hopefully have prices within the next week.

Thanks, Chris

Here they are guys - the pictures as promised :-D

Due to the ridiculously small outlet within the original triangular trim piece it was necassary to remove them from the bumper. This is a simple job requiring 1 bolt and 2 clips removing. Once removed the options open up and we are offering a choice of twin 90mm round (as in pictures) or triangulated trims (pics to follow).

Personally I like the twin round tailpipes as they look different and more aggresive :-D . The triangular options will be for the purists looking for a more original looking tailpipe.

Picture of original exhaust system with bumper trims etc - note the 2 large and 2 small silencers (by the tailpipes) - no wonder the standard system is so quiet  .

What do you all think?

As the tail trim has been removed, would the paint work not be susceptible to charring from the exhaust. The triangular tail ends are not only aesthetic, but also provide a way of dissipating the heat from the tips. Looks the dogs danglies though.

I recommend an initial group buy of £100. each for the set. :P , if you don't ask.............
