Turbo in a Type R no thanks... :badrazz: That has no connection with Type R:Heavy,tall,ugly,turbo,sh-t (In most EU countries then its better to buy Golf and have cheaper parts, services etc ...)
But why can't Honda use direct injection i-VTEC and supercharger?

Focus ST, 250 bhp with a £21k list price, could well get discounted below £20k, that's cheaper than an FN2 2 years ago.
£22K for the basic model ST, but the one with all the toys (ST3) is £25.5K base price.

Most people paid less than £19K for their FN2's don't forget that.

I'm only going on list price, so sure people negotiate a better price, the FN2 was over £21k just before they stopped selling them, it was £18.6k when i ordered mine in '06 but then you add paint so it was over £19k, add 6 years inflation and it's the same as the ST.

People still go on about the price they paid for their EP3's as well.

I'd love to be able to pay £15K for something like that these days.

Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will philander, you too will get old, and when you do you’ll fantasise that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were noble and children respected their elders.

Renaultsport Clio is still the same price it was when the EP3 was launched. Some of the price rise may be due to increased costs across the board but some is also down to Honda and their decision to increase creature comforts at the expense of the brand.

It is possible, I paid £15.7k for an ex-demo EP3, 2 months old with 3k miles. Fast forward 7 years and I paid not much more for my current car, 3 months old with 5k miles.

I paid the same for my FN2 as I did for the EP3 Premier. :salut:

its ford, so walk in dealership and get your st3 22k.

Same with vauxhall. Astons already have basic VXR price as 23k

Couple of weeks back chatting with the VXR brand manager and even he said , nobody pays the ticket price on a vauxhall. so he said the real price most will pay will be 23 + 1k for the Aero pack so 24 ish

as apposed to BMW where you will get no discounts at all.

So swings and roundabouts

So what are everybody's guesses on engine then? So we can look back in a couple of years time and see who was closest.

I'll go for 1.6 turbo with 220BHP.
