Guys,

I’ve removed the fuel pump assembly from the car and would like to know how to test the fuel filter and fuel pump before condemning and replacing. I didn’t want to buy a fuel pressure gauge to diagnose my hesitation during acceleration as decided simply removing the assembly from fuel tank was easier and cheaper.

Any advice would be appreciated

Unless you can physically see something wrong there’s not much else to do.
The only way to test the pump is by having it fitted in the tank and measuring fuel pressure and delivery rate.
