 More like... Here man, a bet thems reet slippy in the wet like!

Its actually not that bad Steve, im sure it would be if i was kicking the arse out of it, but just normal daily driving its not twitchy at all. Theres a surprising amount of grip. I really should take it somewhere on a wet day and see what its (and my) limits are. Rather find out when i want to than unexpectedly when i dont!

Washed and waxed it today, as well as fitted my fire extingisher which i got for 8 quid. Couldnt say no

Need to do the "MAP Whack" tomorrow, which is essentially giving the MAP sensor a smack and cleaning out the sensor hole. Providing it doesnt rain tonight/tomorrow, ill get some pictures up and highlight what needs doing and a more specific shopping list.

Quick pic after a wash today.

This one you can see the damage to the rear plastic window. Im just going to get the whole new Mohair roof fitted. £707 quid fitted. Not too bad. Will have a glass window then. The damage was actually caused by operation of the roof when it was cold. You're supposed to let it warm up first, otherwise the plastic is brittle and can crack. Nice one Honda.

Got a pretty good idea of parts that i want. Should look pretty sexy when im done. When im dead set, ill post up a list of parts with pics, and where i plan to get them from. Would be greatful if folk could give me any pointers to cheaper suppliers or similar parts that may be of better quality/similar look.

Was having a gander in the Aitbox today, and the thing is so badly designed. Think EP3 (With the massive plastic partition, but with a feed running into it, and a pipe inside to direct air flow. The problem being, as standard, there is no feed to the opening of the feed on the airbox where the air enters. Once in, this warm engine bay air is routed through the small pipe, over the top of the partition and onto the filter. Im thinking it may be better to gut the inside of the airbox (as per Hondata mod) and remove in 90 degree pipe inside. This allowing more air inside the airbox. This coupled with a scoop/snorkle (available from Mugen, J's and tegiwa - yuck) that feeds to the airbox feed should provide a better flow until i pick up a Mugen airbox too. I realise thats probably not a very good description, but if anyone knows what i mean, what are your thoughts?

Im not sure if that shield would fit alongside the mugen box when i get it, possibly a waste of money? Not a bad shout though Newannaive. That link is exactly what i mean. What do you reckon?

Who retails PWJDM stuff in the UK? I want to get prices for snorkles. Tegiwa do one at a fair price, but i really dont want to buy one. Ideally I'd like a Mugen one, as im going Mugen Airbox and Mugen exhaust. May aswel stay in keeping. But still... All it is, is a carbon air feed. I dont imagine theres any difference between any of them.

Apparently that heatshield still works alongside aftermarket airboxes. Can't see how it wouldn't either as it is not fitted using any of the oem airbox mounting points which a mugen airbox would use.

I'd say do the how-to in the link, yes. It can only improve things. The best part of the s2k inlet setup is that the airbox is directly behind the grill area, so sorting out the perfect caf will be easy...and a caf is everything when you are using an airbox, wether it is oem or aftermarket :salut:

Sweet.

In which case, ill be getting one of those cooling plates (£200!). I think iv decided to sod the snorkle off, as they are way over priced. And get one of these instead which should do almost as good of a job, with further cooling Clicky

Going to be fitting a snorkel and non-snorkel cooling plate to my mates s2k next week.

I'll let you know how it goes and try and get some Info on the snorkel he got if you like.

Yes please mate. Pics would be good if you can manage. By non snorkle cooling plate, do you mean the thing i linked to with the cut out section? If so my concern is that they both do pretty much the same job. IIRC the snorkle actually sits behind the front bumper quite high up, not in the grille, as as such doesnt really collect all that well. Where as the full cooling plate does the same thing, just about.

The cooling plate is similar to the one above.Doesn't have the hole in yet... So I'm going to have to trim it out to accommodate the snorkel.

Haven't physically seen the snorkel yet so no idea on the fitting as of yet.

I'll grab some pics along the way

PasswordJDM do a cooling plate that has the correct space cut out for the snorkle, just incase you want one off the shelf without having to cut yourself.

Oh, and shopping list updated with guesstimation of prices page 1.
