You wouldn't notice it's there most of the time. Fit and forget solution. You require a slightly firmer grip of the steering wheel on rough tarmac but that's it.

samidbs wrote:Where did you get your TechOne HID kit with Hella ballasts and 6000k bulbs from ?
I got mine from a group buy run by Mr Bilko - http://civictype-r.co.uk/forum/viewtopi ... 37&t=53645 . I have what is now the Ultimate HID kit from http://www.hids4u.co.uk/ but with different ballasts - http://www.hids4u.co.uk/product.php?pro ... t=0&page=1 . Cost me around £260 at the time.

I`m getting old matey, now in an E92 BMW Coupe, 330d............yes, DIESEL !!

It is re-mapped though, to approx 275bhp, and 450lbs ft of torque, but it would need to be to carry all that feckin` weight around. !

Oh, and I`ve had it for a whole 6 months now.....................MUST be getting old !!!!!!!!

Here it is if you want a look..............

I do like the BMW diesels, especially the 330d

Yes still got the Scoob, almost traded it in for a M3 CSL last month but turned out the car was a lemon after some homework. I've decided to keep it a little longer so had it remapped to 330bhp & 325ft/lbs and added AST adjustable coilovers, Whiteline adjustable front and rear anti-roll bars, anti-lift kit, camber bolts, Performance Friction brake set-up with standard Brembo's and geo set up for track (I think that's it  ).

Aftermarket wheels mate.

It originally came with 17` standard alloys on it, but the arches are so big, it definitely needs more.

As I didn`t want to pay the approx 2.5k that BMW are asking for their M-Sport 19`s (and didn`t want to wait around for a set on ebay; trust me, I DID look :???: ), I decided to buy a set of refurbished OEM CSL`s, from one of the local tuners. Unfortunately, they were rubbing on the rears, and as I didn`t want to get into rolling the arches, etc, the guy bought them straight back off me for the same money, as they had also been a bit of an experiment for him too, to see if the E92 will take CSL alloys (we now know they won`t  )

Anyway, these are made by a company called Beyern Mesh, who only make alloys for BMW`s (but not OEM, obviously, as the originals are made by BBS, to my knowledge). I think they suit the car perfectly, and are definitely lighter than the standard 17`s, as, although I didn`t weigh them, having fitted them myself, my aching back told me when I was putting the feckers on that they are definitely lighter !

Nice one Mark. The Scoob sounds like a PROPER weapon now mate, and as I remember the power from when I had mine, with what you`ve done to yours now, it must be an absolute missile !!

Keep an eye on the Honda Euro Tour section, although it didn't go ahead in 2008 there will most likely be one in 2009. Probably towards the Pyrenees/Andorra/San Sebastian/Carcassonne area
