The power flex exhaust mounts will make the exhaust look crap, it droops it far to much and your's isn't close to the bumper. I had them on mine and they dropped far to much and my exhaust was about 2mm away from the bumper before. The best ones to get are the J's racing exhaust mounts and they drop everything the perfect amount, that's what I have on now.

I've ordered a universal/cut to length mount which I was hoping would work well. http://www.powerflex.co.uk/product-deta ... /1552.html

I was mainly worried about the pipe catching on the ARB. I'll fit them as see if it improves the position.

I'm hugely tempted to get one of these systems.. Does it drone at all on the motorway?

I had a BC Spec 3 and that was way to loud for me.
I've not been on the motorway yet but when I get chance i'll see how it performs... Once up to speed on a dual carriageway it seems fine I would say ever so slighter louder than OEM.

Cheers

How bad is the tapey tapey tapey

And how much ?

Lol its not that bad just on run down it vibrates... I've just got the power flex mounts so will give them a go!

Otherwise, im going with Bluntcaps suggestion...

I'll try and get some in car footage tonight if I can mount my camera somewhere lol

After some inspiration from a few members on here and having some spare time today I gave the CTR a good clean and polish.

I fully detailed it when I first bought it but since then and after rushed weekly washes swirls were back so it was in need of an enhancement detail.

So got out the machine (DA) and the polish... Took about 5 hours to completely go over the car.

Really impressed with the my new products, which was Poor Boys Black Hole! Wow! impressive polish which added a lovely depth and made the paint really glossy!

Also bought Megs Ultimate Quick Spray wax! Again brilliant spray wax which I used as a final wipe product.

Wash - 2BM Chemical Guys Maxi Suds
Bilberry Wheel cleaner

Polishing and Pad combo -Chemical Guys Green Hex pad
Meguires SwirlX 2 - 3 passes on variable speed.
Finished with Poor Boys Black Hole (normally go with 3m final 3 but Ill always use PB now)

Wax - 2coats of 3M Marine Paste

Finalised with 2 coats of Megs Ultimate Spray wax

Managed to get some pics not the best quality as it was getting dark!

Hope you like! I must get a vid of the exhaust soon!

Next few mods of the next month or so - De-Badge and apply just a new Type R badge.

ACT Stage 1 clutch with ACT lightweight fly wheel possibly go LSD

Stop Techs if I hold onto it!

Cheers yeah, NHB really does come alive if its properly looked after! The Black hole final finish was amazing. So easy to put on and wipe off!

Adds a real depth to the paint and leaves it glossy and smooth ready for wax

Cheers! Once you go black..... lol :)

Hey there,

I'll defo try and get some videos online soon. I just haven't had the time and the weather has been really poor so hopefully get some done soon.

The sound is very subtle slightly louder than the OEM but when coming up to vtec it really comes alive but not overly loud!

Thanks for the comments!

It took alot of work to get the paint looking this good.

What you cant really see is the imperfections in the bonnet and front bumper. Both need a respray but the rest of the car is mint now.
