tested my Full piper system inc decat today with a maplins meter and got 103.9db at 3.5k rpm i know this prob wont help but my launch control was turned on so couldnt rev higher

would i get away with this at a 105db limit track day?

Is your piper cat back silenced or un-silenced b-pipe?

I’ve got the silenced one on at the moment and am going for a DC 4-2-1 header next week, hope it’s not too loud as one of the neighbours has already had a go lol.

its the full piper system inc mani, its the unsilenced b pipe. im currently looking for a replacement backup to quieten it down a little

^ i used to have that combo. not sure about the db level, but was pretty darn loud. nothing compare to le skunk though

skunk even louder then ? whats ur full setup then ?

skunk is possibly the loudest aftermarket catback for the ep3. (rr more so being 3" rather then mine being 2.75").
ive got a jrsc with a dc header with skunk2 70mm catback. people on here that have heard it were pretty shocked at how loud it was. may even say its too loud, but i love it . probs around 110db+, have measured it yet. (ive got a db meter..)

Spoon front to back would probs come back louder.
J's 70RR with Spoon 4-2 would eat it alive too. I've never heard anything as loud as the 70RR.

If anyone was wondering what std, supersprint unsilenced, n1 DB level was I done a test last night.

I don't know how they get you to rev the car at track days so just hovering at 5k RPM = 91DB

Opening the throttle fully and revving it upto about 5k RPM = 116 DB...

I'm assuming this is going to be the same for any similar set up.
