Tegiwa intake carbon weave - EDIT - with pics.#3822081

Carbon novice here.

From inside the Tegiwa carbon airbox which I just bought - holding it up to the light you can see some areas of thin weave and many minute gaps? The resin / clearcoat on top is still thick.

Is this normal?

PS. surely a single layer of carbon weave is not very strong?

Pretty sure its normal as mine was also like this. However you're not going to notice when fitted anyway.

Edit: Thought you meant the weave itself. Is there an actual hole in the box?
