And that's with the Si AEM kit. The slightly larger RSX pipe is suppose to give you an extra couple of hp's :D

Blow wrote:am I reading the graphs correct, the AEM equals the Gruppe M on torque and beats it by .35 of a HP. That means the AEM won on the dyno?
But what air has the gruppe M got to breathe.

It works on ram air mate, and regardless of what people say, dyno's don't do it any justice.

I was going faster in a straight line on the Ring agains a CTR with AEM and Spoon exhaust.

Best thing is, I only have the Gruppe M fitted

Mr _GaBig ,to be fair I have read your posts very carefully and to be honest I think if you do the same you will see that you use the word "eat" in your text............Try page 13.......and you call me the fool! My apologies though if I hit a nerve by calling you overweight its just me being immature!

There is a few problems with the Ram air principals. Air is a compressible fluid and increased compression and air flow into the an engine is what a ram-air induction system is attempting to do.
However, it turns out that air behaves more like an incompressible fluid at speeds less that Mach 0.3. Mach 1 is the speed of sound at the local temperature and air pressure. At standard temperatures and pressures (20 C,760 mm Hg) on the earth’s surface, the speed of sound is 1236 km/hr (768 miles per hour). Thus an air velocity greater than 370 km/hr (230 mph) would be required to begin to observe air compression in an air intake duct. To accomplish this in a ram air system requires that the air intake duct be tapered down to a smaller diameter to increase the velocity of the air flow to be greater than Mach 0.3 into the engine, but compressing air increases its temperature.
At anything below 80 mph you won't get any increase in pressure and 80-120 you will get about 0.1psi increase which would work out about 1.5bhp increase, but you would also get slight increase in temp and this may cancel out any gain.
So if you want to pay an extra £400 got the Gruppe M that gives a 1.5bhp increase at 100 mph then it is your choice.

Nope, your still the fool here, if you read my post on this page I told you that if you insert a letter "B" in front of the word "eat" on "page 13" it spells "Beat", it's a typing error which you should have picked up    .

You are indeed a fool. Thanks for replying.

Have fat people got something against you? becuase it looks like to me your offeneded by fat people ??

By the way I don't need your apologies, becuase I'm not fat ....  , but we now know your immature.

Paul-CTR, it's people like Ken H who are immature, he said it himself, he is the immature one, I'm here just to explain and point out where he went wrong, so don't get it the wrong way.

If he can't understand that when people type there could be spelling or typing error(s) he should be able to think for him-self and understand "What if" I insert a letter in front of this word may be it might spell something.

Nope, I cant!
And it is a ridiculous debate  . The AEM, ITG, and Gruppe M all provide good increases in performance figures as far as the Dyno shows - not everyone can test each filter on the road, so a dyno is a pretty good indication.
I didnt go for the AEM because the fitting looked a bit awkward. The Gruppe M was too expensive, so have settled for the ITG (when it arrives). The dyno looks good for the ITG, so am happy I have chosen it - lets hope it shows when I drive the car

Heres all of them superimposed, on to the stock (red) graph, the scales were different so some lines don't match up exactly but you get the idea.

The Mugen airbox didn't get a fair test because the front scoop wasn't installed. It was basically sucking hot air from the radiator.
