Hi all, just thought id give a quick hi as im hopefully buying my first vtec very soon!
Im in Kent in a crappy town called sittingbourne. Hopefully theres some of you guys near!
I will not boast about my previous cars because apart from one they really arent impressive (mk1 supercharged mx5 was rather fun!)
Im ideally looking for a premier edition nighthawk black with sencible miles. Think ive seen one but its at a dealer and they going probably rip me off something crazy!
Is it bad ive kind of made up my mind what my first few mods will be?

ask here before you buy it, expect dealers to be a little over priced but you can get a low mileage 55/06 prem for anywhere between £4500-£5500
i'm based in Eastbourne so not too far away.

Yes but I'm only good at valuing premiers to be honest lol. Not too clued up on older prefacelift etc. And those values above are privately. A garage may sell a premier edition for over 6k.

well that's not a bad price IMO pending an inspection, £5,000 would be better but then it is from a garage and has warranty etc. The alloys have been refurbed, also the civic badge has been taken off suggesting it may not have been unmodified all its life but that's not necessarily bad

Wow! Im not sure how you got that from those pics but you sound like you know your stuff. I think I read somewhere about a 75k service thats a important one. If that's not done it could be a bargaining point, any idea roughly how much that service is?
Thanks for your help

Just viewed, wasnt being sold in a garage. Being used as a daily had 1400 miles more then advertised. Body was scuffed in a couple of places. Odd tyres. Swear I could feel a slight crunch in second but that could be me being over cautious because ive read to look/listen for it. So I walked from it. No point in rushing.

Picked up my first ep3 yesterday amd just washed it today.
Full service history
37,750 miles reading on the clock
Totally standard.
I know I should keep it standard but things like induction, and exhaust are reversable. Goin to be fitting a new double din stereo when it turns up. But getting the paintwork up to scratch is my first mission.
