I cannot get it out of my head for a type r Impreza. Now, i know sod all about the different models, so which version i like is beyond me. Ive saw a black, 3 door with gold 5 spoke wheels, poss version 5 ? Arnt the something like 280bhp ?? With a diff switch etc, are they any good, or a can of worms ?? Please just say they are shite, and il forget it.

im not going tell you there shite but all ill say is there not my cup of tea. But mate if you want one get one dont worry what other people think. If you like it thats all that matters. At the end of the day your buying it no one else. Oh and yes they are 280 bhp :bigthumb:

Yeah, just worry about all the horror storys you hear with the engines eating themselves, id also heard the Type R had a better engine/setup than the much dearer and uber sexy P1?? Hmmmmmmm, decisions !!

RB5s arnt that expensive but there nothing special power wise there just a normal 2 lt turbo i think 225 bhp? same as the WRX

go for a P1 if your going get a scooby or a 22B!



heres my mates RB5 they are pretty cool and dont see many off them about ( prob becasue last time we checked there was only about 250 left on road haha)

it is the grey one yes.........not my cup of tea as its not to different to the uk turbo although it was a limited idition model!

my sisters b/f used to own a v5 impreza wrx sti type r which had been tuned to 360 bhp and fook me it was quick, its the insurance which can be bad on the imports!

the uk p1's were the uk versions as the sti type r's but they weren't as hardcore as the type r imprezas.......different gearing etc and carried a touch more weight!

id love to own one but there old cars now and i cant see one being to reliable, someones selling a whiteone on here which is gorgeous :cooldude:

Yeah, not likeing the 4 door to be fair, i just fancey the looks of the type r, and the fact that they are pretty tastey out the box is a bonus.

unfortunately it got stolen off his driveway, fcuk me that was a proper nice looking uber rare machine,

most are kept in storage id have thought now as they'll be collectors items soon enough :cooldude:
