3MPS Vs Evo 8. The Mazda will have a tough time in that comparison. Sure the Mazda will be much cheaper to run and once rolling could keep in touch with one in a straight line but throw in a corner or a damp road and the Evo will kill it.

Then depends on your budget, do you want the Mk1 or Mk2?

Wouldnt be to sure about the performance comment...looked at a few vids were the mps pulls away from evo8's and 9's and i've been in a facelift mps as my pal has just sold his and he pulled away from a few evos in that. Its a very underestimated car i think. Personally i'd go for the evo but thats because i cant stand the looks of the mps. Also about running costs if your looking at cars with that kind of performance then surely you can afford to run them :salut:

The Gen 1 Mazda is in the tax rapeage bracket (over £400!) the Gen 2 is the same as the CTR I believe.

Best thing to do is go and drive one thats what i did, the evo was just to hardcore for a daily for me with the mps you get abit of everything comfort, speed, spec etc

my mate has a 336bhp evo 6 and i can sit on his bumper like im tied to him once rolling of course the evo is going to be better off the line and in the wet but do evo owners actually launch there cars? and how hard do you drive on the road in the wet?

Going for the 6mps myself, 06 plate(tax same as the ctr) 4wd, same engine as the 3, highly tunable, £1000 will get you near as damned 330 bhp, and even more torque. Not the best looking car, but i'm not bothered about looks these days.

CTR is going to the missus, no point giving an awesome car away for 3-4k, that way i can still drive it.

Just hope the 2k a year in insurance is justified for her.

Really? see i havn't looked at the boot size just asumed the 3 wouldn't be big enough due to the fact we fill our st220 boot and thats tight, also i dont think theres many cars with a bigger boot then the st lol.

The boot isn't that deep as it has the subwoofer in there but it still has a good surface area, if that make sense?

Ye get what you mean. What about leg space in the back as my 5 year old and 8 year olds are tall for there age. I squash them with the seat back.

You might struggle there, i'm 6' 3" so have the seat quite far back and you will just fit an 8 yr old in the back but give it 3 yrs and an 11 year old will start getting a bit cramped.
