Plus I can borrow it every now and then, will be uber comfy compared to either of my cars.

Buy a GT S2000 and keep the roof on. That's what I did.
350Z has bigger boot.

She also thinks an S2K will be too fast for her.

Jules; you can't find out I don't think. I just know people have as they told me. It's all

down to my "x".

Have you seen the boot space in a zed? The rear strut bar takes most of the space away.

Yes, the Z has less useable luggage space than the S2000.

Sound like she needs to do her homework. :-D

She doesn't need to fit golf clubs in there. Just shopping! ;)

She currently drives a standard 1.25 fiesta zetec which she is donating to my little brother so he can take his mini off the road and pimp it up so no interest in parts thread needed. ;)

Going from a fiesta to an S is probably not such a good idea. Hedge and backwards comes to mind.

The Z probably is the best option for her.

She's not a bad driver to be honest, she used to borrow my DC2 all the time when I lived at home. Usually on a sunday morning whilst I was still pissed from the night before.

You don't need to be a bad driver to crash an S. They are just very temperamental in inclement weather conditions. The backend can be very lively even in dry conditions so the later cars fitted VSA are a better option for shopping type cars.

i had one for 3 years. 350Z GT Roadster. 2006 rev-up 300bhp model.

awesome car!

GT pack with great sound system, heated leather seats & sat nav, 6 pot brembos, superb handling, rear wheel drive fun, bags of torque, very comfy.

only problem £400+ (more now) tax a year and 21mpg at the absolute best if i drove in 6th gear everywhere like an old granny. if i dared touch the accelerator id see more like 12-16mpg.

considering i dont drive an awful amount it was a waste of a car being an expensive driveway ornament. if the costs dont bother you and you dont have a family to put in it its a great car and bags of fun :)

for me getting another CTR was just a better cheaper option. just as quick (although the zed gets there in a more lazy way. torque fun - did sound awesome doing it though) but no monthly payments, huge road tax and awful mileage costs

I owned a GM 54 reg zed for 3 years and loved it. I prefer it to my type-r as it always got heads turning.

As per the golf clubs in the boot, plenty of room and there is a little diagram on the underside of the lid showing you how to put them in.

I was able to borrow a 370z for a weekend and it is like comparing my old type-r to my fn2. The old one was quicker, louder and nippy, the new one is more refined, comfortable and quiet.

I paid 17k for mine and sold it 3.5 year later for 12k, not bad depreciation.

Ive owned one. 02 plate JDM model.

realistic running costs? My services were cheap. Fuel wise, 20-25 mpg
servicing costs? indie/nissan as above, was cheap because I used an Indy
modding power available without forging/FI (manifolds, intakes remaps etc) It's NA, I wouldnt waste your money for little gains
what are they like to drive? Not bad but they feel big and heavy. side windows are narrow, feels a bit claustrophobic. Can be tail happy. V6 sounds very good. Very low rent interior, plastics brittle and cheap.
driven the Coupe or Roadster? Coupe
which year/spec was driven? 03 - 276bhp VQ35DE, 06 - 297bhp VQ35DE rev-up, 07 - 309bhp VQ35HR 276 bhp JDM, GT spec with brembo's etc

Only owned mine for 6 months before getting bored. Doubt Id have another one. My mate used to slag it off all the time, said it was a girls car :bigcry: :ymca:

oddly I had the pre facelift (less power) I got around 17MPG around town but up to 32mpg on the motorway (no different to my r)

I'll probably be keeping the derv as my main daily, so reckon i might pick one up. Only looking to keep it for 6-8 months or so for a bit of fun. Originally I was after an M3, but my brothers got one, all my mates have them (both 36 and 46), 350z's look good, sound good and will throw a little something different into the mix.

I'm not after a particularly fast car, more a comfy luxurious car with lots of toys that's got some punch aswel. They look a pretty nice place to be!
Ideally id have a Z4M but they're silly money, 350's have come down alot in price!

Think I might go to a dealer to test drive one see what they're like!

I certainly don't think they are a "girls" car, think that was your mate being Jelous.

Also 0.62 in 5.7 I think is quick for a car in that class. Limited to 155mph.

I did look at the S2000 before the zed but with the none adjustable sterring wheel I had issues with the room for my knees.
