Its not necessary to make it more powerful, although some increase would be nice, it just needs to be less of a lard arse and more interesting. FN2 while being the most refined is also the dullest.

You do realise that the FN2 inside is the same volume as the EP3 at full throttle? Its every bit as loud as the previous car and is louder than most of its rivals.
Plus with regards to being the dullest, you've never driven a Golf GTI have you? Mind you if you had you'd probably compare it the MK1 in everyway.

Not sure what volume has to do with anything and also fail to see what relevance the Golf GTi has to anything either.

Because you mentioned refined. The definition of refined in the motoring industry is the level of NVH and volume in the cabin. The FN2 is far from the top.

It being the most refined Type R, its rivals are all irrelevant. Without a shadow of a doubt it is the dullest R made.

Yup very expensive though.
Really, how much, looking for a part number but can't find one.
I haven't got the part number to hand, however Gordons Honda can sell you a set for £1200 exc tyres or £1900 including tyres.

They retail at just short of £2.5K.

What a rip off

You could by an EP3 for another £1k if you look hard enough.

dont buy one then?

£1200 quid for those lightening wheels, seems a lot but actually not that bad. the average rude boy spends 600-700 quid on a set of 17" rims. and the 19" rage items are 2 grand. so in scheme of things thats nto too bad! still cant afford them but hey ho!
