Okay okay okay getting annoyed by the amount of times I have to shoot people with my big flip off smg before they die, before gettig shot twice with a pistol and instant death .

I keep losing connection from games , anyone else having this problem? Happens randomly.

Is it me or is the screen REALLY dark? I'm playing on a panny 42G10 plasma all setting are around half on cinema and cool. Also the edges of the game screen seem to fade to black! Am I alone?

I get the same darkness issues, mainly with buildings. They've overdone the lighting bloom a bit. Just use the in-game video controls to whack up the brightness then balance the contrast. Not perfect, but a lot better and saves having to bugger up the Panny's settings which are all calibrated. I might use one of the other Panny modes purely for this though, and take teh brightness up more.

No connection issues here dude. Never had a drop at all.

If the bullet sponge effect is annoying you, switch to hardcore where 1-2 hits results in death, but remember that it works both ways!

Ed, that'll be why I couldn't join you then! I went on with my SP too but I'm not very far yet. Still on the 4th level, I think. Haggard is still hilarious as ever. Particularly liked him moaning on about Africa only to be told he wasn't actually in Africa

Yes you can set the screen brightness in the options.

My 37" gaming Panny HD plasma has three vertical lines Only shows on the blacks though.

Got a 42" standard definition in my lounge, bought before the days of HD for £1600

The 4 v 4 v 4 v 4 mode (I forget the proper name it uses now) is brilliant. Unfortunately I let my friends play under my name who aren't that good to bring my stats down but last night I managed to get a 3.84 k/d ratio and I came top in every game.

With the assault class, the guns you unlock after the second one are also pointless though I'm only level 4-5 from memory at the minute.

My ranging is spot on with the sniper now
Still irritating as sh!t when I need a 2nd shot even with magnum rounds on.

Not for a headshot. That last sniper rifle is awesome too.

Yup I'm wooping the headshots and need about 6K for the M95. Mega difficult to headshot a guy on the move though

Sorry I bailed out of our most excellent squad deathmatch, my son kicked me out because he wants an early night.
(Still not gone to bed though :bad-words: )

My first time trying SDM and it was terrific. Ali, Mark and myself (to a degree) kicked arse. I collected loads of dog tags on Isla Inocentes by hiding in a shed at the side of the map , must have got six on that round.

Sounds like you either need to buy your own PS3 or make your sons the 'house' console .

I too had to bail out when I lost power in my controller and headset

The SDM was awsome, when you guy orginally came in I was on my brothers team with his mates, but had to swap alliance .

I like the SDM mode, but the maps dont really rotate that well, end up playing the snow level and that island one alot.

Was great fun that. First time I'd tried that mode and it's pretty epic. Found a fantastic sniper spot on Isla Inocentes that people kept walking straight past me in so I could take them out with the pistol, and got a dozen headshots from the enemy going onto building roofs You might have noticed my deforestation early in the game to get a clear outlook

my only gripe with this, and to be fair, it's with a lot of new games, is that the colour differentiation between enemy & ally is too close, I am colour blind, and to have, I'm guessing btw, green for ally's and yellow for enemies seems faintly ridiculous

I did notice the deforestdation (sp) did make me wonder what was going on.

im actually getting proficiant with a sniper now my accuracy is 45% overall but recently iv been well over 60% usually i get ALOT of headshots in that too iv just unlocked the 2nd bullpup sniper rifle are the stats right? all 3 that iv unlocked are crap on paper compared to the starter weapon whats the bloody point of upgrading to a worse gun????

im habving a nightmare with connections and crashes atm iv had 3 games today i was on 2 kills no death twice and 4 kills no death once and the game crashed every time now it wont connect to ea!!!!

the last rifle is best imo :thumbup: the fully automatic one isn't bad with a red dot sight when fighting gets to close quarters but runs out of ammo too quick.

And it's light blue and orange on the pc

it si powerful, but I have missed a couple of headshots that the Magnum would have nailed, and since all rifles require a headshot to kill, accuracy is more important to me than outright power.

I like the auto rifle, but use it with a red dot or the 4 x sight, not as a sniper weapon

I was under the impression when you miss a headshot with the M95 and have magnum rounds on it still gets a kill, as long as you body shot them?
But yea I prefer the M24 to that Gol Magnum thing as it comes with ranging dots on the scope for long range.

I picked up somebodies M14 yesterday and that thing rocks.
