erm i would go next to a 240bhp scoob(wrx i believe my mates one) at 50%revs so 3500rpm scoob 4100rpm ctr, in same gear. cos i dont belive for asecond we lack that much torque, ure missing my point here we have a near flat torque curve so we accelerate at the same rate enarly, the only reason vtec seems like a kick is because there is a drop of power before as it switches and then a surge to maximum torqueat 5900rpm 205nm. but in reality we are doing 180nm of torque form 3000rpm, so why do u need to have more power top end?
Only reason would be if u were racing and wanted ot stay in vtec all the time which we dont as is aid 4-2-1 if u like in gear acceleration and 4-1 if u like staying in vtec for ragging about.
I want both so 4-2-1 is wot i would go for
that way i will have a flat torque curve but one with higher values instead of with a 4-1 which will give u a torque curve that ahs a lower bottom end at low revs but better high end torque.
