Hi all,

Bought my civic mid April and been a member here for a few months or so now so thought I best get some pics up of my motor. :) So far im loving every thing about it! All I want to do is drive it about everywhere... it is truely a superb motor! :-D

Currently standard'ish form for now. Got some nice goodies to bolt onto it in the next month or so. Up till now all i've done is get the paintwork back to normal colour. Before it had alot of heavy swirling and it really came up hazy and dull after a wash but now its back to its deep wet look gloss black. I've corrected both sides but need to finish the roof, bumpers and spoiler. Its taken me odd weekends to get where I have and im very happy with the results.

Mods so far :

- Tegiwa Short Shift plate
- Skunk 2 Heavy Weight Gear Knob
- Leather gear stick surround
- GruppeM Induction kit
- Tegiwa Imports Cat-Back Exhaust
- Mugen black oil filler cap
- Tein S Tech 25mm/15mm lowering springs
- Buddyclub rear camber arms
- Eibach front camber bolts
- Powerflex front gearbox bush
- Powerflex Exhaust Mounts
- Dent-Remover tidy scuttle and scoop kit
- SFS Intake hose
- Broadway wide angle 270mm Interior Mirror

looks nice matey! very shiney how long it take you to get the swirls out? and what did you use? i need to get round to doing mine, its not bad but wanna get it done before the swirls get worse,
Hi mate, cheers, it roughly took me about 4ish hours each side with a dual action polisher. The most time consuming part of this whole detailing process is finding the correct pad and polish to work with, as kept getting frustrated with the end result as it just wasnt working for me. I probably spent 3hours initially trying to find what would work best.

Ended up finding a really good technique and polish/pad combo which was the Chemical guys green hex pad with Meguires swirlX finished with 3M final finish out the Perfect it 3 range. Then sealed with 3M Marine paste. I put about 2 coats of sealer on and now when I wash it I use the 3M spray wax which is just spray and wipe works great!

The swirls were so bad I did 2 passes before I was happy enough to carry on. I took my time though and I only used a DAS6 DA rather than a rotary (still not confident enough) and did it over a few weekends with some spare Sunday time. I still have the bumpers and roof to do yet. Shouldn't take me too long though now as I know what polish and pad to use

Done some work on the motor today!

Last week I did a oil and spark change. Totally different car to drive since I did this.

Serviced with Fuchs Pro Race S 5-40 and NGK Irdium IX Sparks.

Did the gear box oil with MTF-3 from Honda and smoothed out a intermittent mild crunch in 2nd.... the oil that came out was broken down and very watery black stuff defo needed doing.

The new oil has pretty much smoothed out all gears espcially 2nd to 3rd.

Now on with some pics with the progress today!

Replaced standard air intake hose with an SFS hose and used car wiring loom tape as a nice air tight seal around the GM induction kit and TB.

Black SFS intake fitted :)

Next up fitted dent-remover tidy scuttle and scoop! Lovely bit of kit and made the whole scuttle panel look OEM.

Sprayed the intake manifold with some black VHT and added an alloy battery bar. Cam cover needs a good clean but needed some decent brushes to start off will do this next week if I have time.

Its also sitting on Tein S Tech springs here the pics above are standard...

Small update to my EP3!

Followed a superb How-To on the Forum and upgraded the standard dash bulbs to super bright, white 3 x LED's.

Few pics of what they look like the time of day was about 4.30 - 5 I think and they still look fantastic!

The camera seems to pick up the light better so they look brighter than what they are but thats generally what they look like in real!

Just to note - 40mph and 140mph show up brighter than the other numbers as the 3xLED are angled in the bulb holder so the light spread isnt great but all round they look nice and not to overwheleming during night driving.

I can get these bulbs at good price and will be selling them to Forum members only for £12 deliverd if anyone is interested?

I will be selling these bulbs as a set of 10 (9 needed) for the EP3.

Finally fitted the exhaust over the weekend. What a pain to fit but it finally went on.

Sounds superb and its just what I was after. The car seems to have opened up on the low down rev range which is nice,

Top end feels the about same, not overly loud not too quite...but its sounds great while normal driving.

A much deeper note through all the gears.

Fitment is great, however a slight problem as the rear back box down pipe catches the rear ARB which vibrates. I've ordered some heat wrap to go round this section, which should resolve this issue.

Also ordered 2 Power Flex poly exhaust mounts for the back box. However I think I might also buy 2 custom sized ones for the mid pipe hanger for an even better fit.

Not great pics, will get some better ones soon
