My car is suffering form a loss power under acceleration, it can happen in any gear, rpm or if the engine is hot or cold. It was initially extremely rare happening maybe once every 100 miles.
A typical example would be as follows, you pull away in first, full throttle in second, change into third, full throttle, it starts to go and then nothing, your foot is flat to the floor and you just watch the rev needle drop, then after about 3-5 secs it sorts itself out and off you go. Just got back from a drive were it did this 6 times in 2 miles, it was pretty much undriveable, but for the last 2 miles of the trip it was fine.
It is not throwing up any error codes and it has had 2 new fuel pumps under warranty. The car is coming up to 3 years old and has done 12,000 miles, any ideas as to what could be causing the issue?
