going to try and make my own tonight from the recipe Radio 1 had this morning

100g plain flour
2 eggs
300ml milk
pinch of salt
knob of butter melted in to the mix

something didn't go quite right :scratch: the mixture was very white, first one was to thick, 2nd the pan was to hot, 3rd prity good and 4th wasent bad either, they were getting better :lol:

what do you guys use in the pan? butter, lard etc?

I used olive oil, then ran out so used butter.

see i used butter, they said dont use olive oil or any sort of oil as it makes the pancake taste oily, sure my dad use to use lard :scratch:

My dad uses lard but I use a touch of butter or low fat 1cal spray so it's really just so the mix doesn't stick. I would think that olive oil taints the flavour

A couple of sugar n lemon juice ones followed by a strawberry and whipped cream

condensed milk, nutella, maple syrup and normal syrup. Not all on the same pancake obviously.

If you want american style you can split the eggs and whip up the egg whites before folding them back into the mix. The resulting pancake is nice and fluffy.

I like pancakes with cheese, golden syrup and cinnamon. Sounds weird but actually really nice!

No English ones, crepes are different.
